Worker dies in landslide, woman falls to death

Gorkha - A manual worker died Saturday after he was buried by a landslide occurred during the road construction at Dharche Rural Municipality -7 in Gorkha. 

The deceased has been identified as Sukman Moktan, 32, of Bhiyal-5 from Makwanpur district. The Nepal Army is undertaking a track opening works at Hawadanda cliff under a new road construction project. He had died on the spot, according to Gorkha's Deputy Superintendent of Police Birendra Thapa. 

Meanwhile, 45 year-old Saraswoti Chaudhary of Triyuga Municipality-5, Udaypur who was severely injured after falling from a tempo in motion Sunday afternoon died in course of treatment later. Following the accident she was rushed to Biratnagar -based Neuro Hospital, the District Police Office, Udaypur. The tempo was en route to Gaighat from Deuri Bazaar and the accident occurred near the Deuri Bridge.
