Minister vows to make physically-challenged people self-reliant

Kathmandu - Minister for Women, Children and Senior Citizens Leelanath Shrestha has said that the Ministry was working aiming to make the physically-challenged people self-reliant. Minister Shrestha said so today in a ground-breaking event of a 15-bed hospital building and helpless service building in Golbazar Municipality, Siraha.

The Ministry was making concrete plans to ensure opportunity for the people with special needs and their dependents, end gender-based violence, guarantee child education, and respectful life of seniors, the Minister said. On the occasion, Kedar Shrestha, Hiralal Shrestha, Moti Shrestha, Jahawarlal Shrestha and Dr Bishnu Shrestha were felicitated for donating land for the building construction.

The Shrestha brothers provided 15 kaththa 10 dhur land plots for hospital building construction and 7 kaththa 10 dhur land for the helpless service building in memory their parents Shivanath and Santamaya.
