3,749 more infected, active infection cases reach 36,533

Kathmandu - The Ministry of Health and Population has recorded 3,749 new cases of coronavirus infection. With this update in the last 24 hours, the number of active cases of coronavirus reached 36,533 in the country. Similarly, 3,565 infected persons got rid of the coronavirus in 24 hours.

Information to this was shared by Spokesperson at Health Ministry Dr Jageshwor Gautam at a regular meeting on Thursday. He informed that RT PCR was tested among 16,598 persons in the latest round. The number of people recovering from the coronavirus has reached 84,518.

The Kathmandu Valley alone had 1,935 new cases of coronavirus where Kathmandu district had 1693, Bhaktapur 134 and Lalitpur 108. Moreover, there are 12,339 people staying in institutional isolations, 24,194 in home isolations and 4,825 in quarantines. Among the infected ones, 68 are receiving treatment with ventilator support and 324 at ICU, Dr Gautam.
