3,200 plus infected individuals in Lalitpur

Kathmandu - The total number of coronavirus infected people in Lalitpur district reached 3,262, according to the District Public Health Office. Of them, a total of 1,803 infected ones were discharged. Currently, there are 1,430 active cases of the virus. Chief of the Office, Dr Khageshwor Gelal, said that COVID-19 related death toll reached 29 in Lalitpur district adding that there is bit difference in the statistics provided by the Health Ministry and District Public Health Office.

In Lalitpur Metropolitan City, the number of active cases is 879 and 21 fatalities, Spokesperson of the Metropolitan City Raju Maharjan said. Among the active cases, 812 are in home isolation and 67 in hospitals. Of the total 203 cases in Godavari Municipality, 132 people got discharged and six succumbed to the virus.

Likewise, the tally of infected people reached 408 in Mahalaxmi Municipality and 235 individuals were discharged while two people died of the virus in the municipality, Information Technology Officer Santosh Pokhrel said. The number of cases in Bagmati, Mahankal and Konjyosom rural municipalities is minimal, officials confirmed.
