Landslide in Bajhang: Two bodies found

Kathmandu - Two boys have died in a landslide at Midi, Bungal municipality-5 in the district. They were unaccounted for after the disaster. Those killed in the incident are 12-year-old Sachin Okheda and Sudip Okheda, 6. They are brothers. Their bodies were retrieved from the landslide debris through joint efforts of Nepal Police and Nepal Army personnel and the locals.

Rescue has been difficult as large boulders have fallen with the mudslide. The landslide occurred at around 1 am today and it has buried the house of Pratap Tamrakar. Tamrakar is in Banglore, India in connection with work. Tamrakar's wife, Pipala, 40, daughters Sunita, 18 and Santoshi aka Tinty, 12, and son Anil, 16, have been injured in the incident. They are being treated at Khiratadi health post. Nepal Police and locals rescued them who were buried in landslide debris soon after the incident.
