Vice President stunned by Rashtrakavi's death

Kathmandu - Vice President Nanda Bhadur Pun has said he is stunned by the passing away on Tuesday evening of Rashtrakavi Madhav Prasad Ghimire, the towering figure of Nepali literature. Issuing a condolence message today, he has paid tribute to the Rashtrakavi and deep sympathies to the bereaved family.

Stating the nation has suffered a big loss on having to bid adieu to Rashtrakavi Ghimire physically, the Vice President noted that the invaluable literary works that the Rashtrakavi has given and the profound contribution he has made to the nation will keep him alive for ever.

"It would be a true tribute to the Rashtrakavi Ghimire if we could emulate the simple and ideal life he led by adopting a high sense of patriotism and the feelings of love for nature," the Vice President said in the message. The Vice President has also highly respected the invaluable contribution that the Rashtrakavi Ghimire has made to the nation through his literary creations.
