Party wishes leader Shahi recovery

Kathmandu - The Nepali Congress has extended best wishes for the speedy recovery of its central member Jeevan Bahadur Shahi.

Leader of the party's parliamentary party in the Karnali state assembly, Shahi is in isolation treatment after testing positive to Corona Virus, according to a statement issued by the NC central office.

Likewise, the party has denounced the attack on Chairperson of Kerabari rural municipality, Morang, Rohit Bahadur Karki. Seriously injured in the attack, the NC leader is currently undergoing treatment at the Nobel Hospital in Biratnagar, says the statement issued by the office Chief Secretary Krishna Prasad Poudel.

He was allegedly attacked with a khukuri by local resident Kishore Singh Thakuri. The party has called for the arrest and stern legal action against Thakuri, while wishing for speedy recovery of its leader Karki.
