Gokarneshwor municipality brings budget of Rs 1.87 billion

Kathmandu - Gokarneshwor municipality has brought a budget of Rs 1.87 billion for the fiscal year 2020/21. Mayor Santosh Chalise presented the policy and programmes of the municipality while deputy mayor Shanti Nepal the budget for the next fiscal in the municipal assembly held on Wednesday.

The policy and programme as well as the budget has given high emphasis on health and education sectors. Similarly, the municipality has announced a 50 per cent exemption on house rent tax and up to 50 per cent discount to students of the institutional schools on book purchase.

Speaking in the inauguration of the fourth municipal assembly, Kathmandu constituency-3 lawmaker Krishna Rai stressed coordination among three levels of governments in development and infrastructure works.
