Health materials imported via Tatopani border point

Kathmandu -Tatopani, Sino-Nepal border point, has come into operation after three months. According to Sindhupalchok chief district officer Unesh Kumar Dhakal, the entry point was resumed after establishing a health check desk. The border point was closed in view of deadly outbreak of COVID-19 in China three months ago. With the operation of the entry point, 19 huge cartons of face masks and 10 of sanitizers were brought to Nepal on Wednesday.

It is said that those health materials were stopped in Khasa of China for some time. The border point was closed since 27 January after the coronavirus was witnessed in Wuhan of China in the last week of December 2019. Chairman of Bhotekoshi rural municipality Raj Kumar Poudel said that other essential goods will also be imported as all sides concerned have been consulted after the demand from different sides to do so by taking special precautions.
