Youth found dead in canal in Kanchanpur

Bhimduttanagar–A 19-year-old youth was found dead in the Mahakali Irrigation Canal at Sisaiya at Bedkot in Kanchanpur district today morning. The deceased has been identified as Santosh Panta of Krishnapur Municipality-2 in Kanchanpur district. According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) at the District Police Office, Kanchanpur, Narendra Chand, the youth was found drowned when he was spotted.

DSP Chand informed, "The preliminary information acquired by the police suggest that the youth could have fallen off his motorcycle and was drowned in the canal."

Further investigation into the case is underway.
