Chief Minister health programme to reach out to all districts

Hetauda–The Chief Minister People Health Check-up Programme that was piloted last fiscal year is to be expanded to all districts of the State-3. The concept is to ensure wider reach of the programme to all general public of the State-3. Though the State-3 Ministry of Social Development designed and launched the programme targeting economically marginalized caste, community, senior citizens and conflict survivors last year, it is planning to expand access of all citizens to health services, informed Minister for Social Development Yubaraj Dulal.

The minister further shared the reach of the chief minister health programme is to be expanded so that all citizens of the State can get 25 % discount on health services.

The programme was piloted in five hospitals of the State-3 in the first year. Now preparation is underway to scale up this programme in eight hospitals being operated under the domain of State government and health facilities run by federal government or local governments.

Most of the private schools found operational against standards In course of the monitoring of different institutional schools operational in Hetauda sub-metropolis area, the schools are found not abiding by the stipulated standards.

Likewise the schools have seen several types of problems. The monitoring team also found some schools not maintaining toilets. Among other problems identified in course of the monitoring were unmanaged sitting arrangement for nursery students, open sale of junk foods in canteen and school compound rounded with barbed wire.

A team headed by Hetauda sub-metropolis Mayor Hari Bahadur Mahat had monitored the private schools. The team had monitored Nawodaya Shishu Sadan, Siddhartha Shishu Sadan Secondary School and Ujjwal Shishu Niketan on Tuesday.
