Newly appointed State Chief Kalauni assumes office

Surkhet–Newly-appointed Chief of Karnali State, Govinda Prasad Kalauni, has assumed office here today. President Bidya Devi Bhandari had administered the oath of office to the newly-appointed State Chiefs of all the seven states on Tuesday.

Assuming office, State Chief Kalauni said he would play constructive and coordinating role in the development and prosperity mission adopted by the Karnali state government.

He was welcomed and garlanded by Karnali state government Chief Minister Mahendra Bahadur Shahi, State Assembly Speaker Raj Bahadur Shahi, State government minister for internal affairs and law Naresh Bhandari, minister for industry, tourism, forest and environment Nanda Singh Budha, Deputy Speaker Pushpa Gharti and Chief Attorney Bidya Bhusan Manandhar.
