Norvic participates in 14th CII Health Care East, Kolkata
Norvic International Hospital (NIH) was invited to present its concept paper on technological advancement in the healthcare domain in the context of developing and the least developed countries like ours.
There were altogether 2 dozens of Corporate and private sector hospitals participating on the conference from India and other South Asian countries.
Mr. Manish Khemka, the Executive Director of Norvic's parent company- M/s BLC Holdings (Pvt.) Ltd., while presenting his concept paper shed light on health care scenario of Nepal.
He lime lighted on the technological aspects of healthcare in our context and said that every effort are taking place to avail the standard health care with affordability and accessibility to all.
Technology transfer for innovations, effective prevention, diagnosis and treatment are equally important for this part of the world, Mr. Khemka said. He also reiterated the importance of AI, 3D printing, immunotherapy, bio sensors and trackers, tele-medicines, online consultations and the effective use of the social media to improvise the standards of treatment in our context.
Nepal Govt. is also creating some favorable environment, but not good enough, said Khemka. It has recently launched the scheme of public health insurance which is very good sign for the future, said he.
Nepalese are spending approx.US$ 1 billion in healthcare every year outside Nepal. We are trying our best to retain that spending in our country by providing a very good and reliable treatment option, Khemka said.
