Road mishap leaves one dead; four injured

Kathmandu–A person died and other four were injured in a road accident at Sinamangal Kathmandu. A motorcyclist died on the spot when a tipper (Ba 2 Kha 4317) en route to Gaushala from Tinkune knocked three motorbikes (Ba 85 Pa 569, Ba 38 Pa 2303 and Na 43 Pa 8735) in front of Sinamangal Cargo Office on Sunday night.

The deceased has been identified as Pasang Bhote who was riding the motorbike (Ba 38 Pa 2393). Critically injured, Chhangbung Bhote, who was on the motorbike (Ba 85 Pa 569) and another motorcyclist Pramod Dhital (Na 43 Pa 8735), are receiving treatment at Kathmandu Medical College Sinamangal.

Likewise, injured Sisam Wagle and Praveen Dhital are being treated at National Trauma Centre, said Traffic Police. Basanta Kumar Pant, Metropolitan Traffic Police Division Chief and Deputy Superintendant of Police, informed that the speeding tipper had knocked all the three motorbikes at once. The Traffic Division said necessary investigation into the accident was being undertaken by taking control the tipper driver.
