Aid from Nepali immigrants in Portugal to patients

Baglung–The Baglung Society Portugal has extended financial aid to three kidney and cancer survivors of Baglung district.

Prem Khadka, chair of the Society, told RSS that aid amount of Rs 293,280 (2,400 Euro) collected in Portugal on the initiative of the Society was given away to three critical patients of the district.

Khadka further said the aid money was raised after news report noting treatment was being affected due to financial reason.

Amount Rs 97,760 each was handed to kidney survivor Gama Prasad Shrish of Galkot municipality, Narethanti, cancer survivor Dal Bahadur Budhamagar of Badigad rural municipality-10 and cancer survivor Sapana Khadka of Baglung municipality, Tityang.

A team of Surya Hamal, former ICC member of Non-Resident Nepali Association and adviser to Baglung Society Portugal, distributed the aid amount reaching the district.
