Journalist Thapa dies

Jajarkot–Outgoing Chair of Federation of Nepali Journalist, Jajarkot and member of the State Assembly Dilli Bahadur Thapa passed away on Saturday.

A patient of high blood pressure, Thapa had been admitted to the Jajarkot hospital yesterday and died on the way to Nepalgunj for further treatment.

A resident of Damdal in ward no. 5 of Kushe rural municipality, 40-year-old Thapa was lately associated with the postkhabar.com, an online news portal.

The demise of Thapa is an irreparable loss to the journalism sector, says Secretary of FNJ, Jajarkot Hemant KC in a statement issued today.

Furthermore, Karnali State Journalists Federation General Secretary Dipendra Sharma has issued a statement saying that the Nepali journalism sector has, in the demise of Thapa, lost an active, young and dynamic journalist. Thapa is survived by his wife, two sons and two daughters.
