Tanahu–Thirteen buffaloes and 15 rabbits were killed when fire broke out at a buffalo farm at Khursanibari, Tuda of Shuklagandaki municipality-7 here last night. The cattle shed at the farm belonging to Ramkali Bhandari suddenly caught fire at night.
Property worth about Rs 2.2 was gutted by the fire, the Area Police Office Belchautara's chief, Inspector Saroj Giri, said. The fire broke out at around 10.30 pm at the buffalo farm.
Three more buffaloes have sustained burn injuries in the incident. Fire engine was called from Damauli, the district headquarters, at 1 am to douse the inferno after locals exhausted all efforts to contain it.
