Complaint of corruption filed against UML Chair Oli, leaders at CIAA

KATHMANDU, Feb 17: All Nepal National Free Students Union, sister organization of the CPN (Unified Maoist) , has filed a complaint of corruption against leaders of CPN-UML including KP Sharma Oli, the party’s chairman at the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) on Thursday. 

The student union has accused Oli and leaders of UML of being corrupt while they were in government and demanded a fair investigation into the case.

Chairman Oli and the then Minister for Land, Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation Padma Aryal have been accused of corruption in the Jhapa-based Giri Bandhu Tea Estate scam.

Likewise, the then Defense Minister Ishwar Pokhrel and Health Minister Bhanubhakta Dhakal have been accused of corruption while procuring health equipment.

Similarly, the then Tourism Minister Yogesh Bhattarai has been accused of corruption while promoting the Visit Nepal Year, 2020.
