5.8 magnitude earthquake jolts Nepal


LAMJUNG, May 19: An earthquake measuring 5.8 on the Richter scale occurred in western Nepal on Thursday morning. 

According to the National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Centre, the epicenter of the earthquake that occurred at 5.42 this morning was nearby Bhulbhule of Lamjung. 

Seismic expert Dr Lokbijaya Adhikari told RSS that the earthquake was measured 5.8 on the Richter scale. The jolt was also experienced in different parts of Lamjung, Gorkha, Tanahun, Kaski, Manang, Chitwan, Dhading and Kathmandu Valley. 
Details of loss caused by the quake have yet to be reported.
