Former Chief Minister Shalikram Jammakattel Warns of Party Disunity

Kathmandu. Former Chief Minister of Bagmati Province and leader of the Nepali Communist Party, Shalikram Jammakattel, has concluded that the current political situation is becoming unfavorable for the party. Jammakattel has called for not being distracted at this time but to focus on strengthening the organization, stating that the party and leadership are facing encirclement from all sides. 

He emphasized the need to learn from historical experiences, warning that the recent dissatisfaction within the party and talks of leadership change could lead to the organization's division. 

Writing on social media Facebook on Thursday, he said, 'Our own experiences also tell us that deviations and divisions begin with the rise of issues like the leadership is bad, failed, the leadership must step down. This leadership cannot take the party and the movement forward.'

He recounted his experience of having to face beatings when going to build organizations in schools, colleges, factories, and villages after the year 2047 BS when the party was weak.
