Discontent Grows in Kalikot Over Nepali Communist Party's Work Division

Surkhet. Discontent has grown in Kalikot regarding the work division of the Nepali Communist Party. Leaders of the former CPN (Unified Socialist) have expressed dissatisfaction with the division in particular.

Former Socialist District Chairman Chitrasingh Gaunle has organized a separate meeting on the subject.

According to Chairman Gaunle, for the former Unified Socialist, when determining the leadership, the district where an in-charge was found was given a former party in-charge, and the district where a coordinator was found was given a former coordinator. However, in Kalikot, a former in-charge was made coordinator instead of the district chairman.

He stated that their dissatisfaction is with the principle of law because the work division was done by picking individuals rather than based on leadership methods and former committees.

'Whether we accept this practice of selecting leadership without any criteria, and whether we take this trend down to the ward level or not, a meeting of the former district committee has been organized,' he said.
