Rastriya Swatantra Party Bagmati Province Convention Postponed Due to Dispute

Makwanpur. The Rastriya Swatantra Party's Bagmati Province convention voting began on Tuesday night. The voting, which started at 1:30 AM, was postponed due to a dispute.

According to the election schedule, there were 4 candidates for the post of one chairman, and 88 people had filed nominations for the member post. The election committee had determined the voter list and started the voting. The election was postponed due to a dispute within 30 minutes of its commencement. 

The election committee left the convention venue after postponing the election program until 8 AM on Wednesday. Voting began at 1:30 AM on Tuesday and was postponed after about 5 people voted.

During the election process of the second session at Himalayan Darbar in Hetauda-1, a dispute arose over the voter list of Bhaktapur and the unannounced candidacy. When the issue of the candidate list according to the electoral constituency cluster being missed arose, the cadres and voters became angry. Angry voters and cadres tore ballot papers and chanted slogans and made noise.

The postponed election program has not yet resumed. Officials of the organizing committee and election committee are not visible at the convention venue. The few remaining cadres are complaining about the inconvenience caused by the irresponsibility of the organizing committee.
