2,256 Drivers Penalized for Traffic Violations in 24 Hours

Kathmandu. In the past 24 hours, two thousand 256 drivers have been penalized for violating traffic rules. Revenue of Rs 491,500 has been deposited into the state treasury from this.

According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, 151 people who consumed alcohol, 111 who engaged in 'ride sharing' against the rules, 142 signal light violators, and 230 who drove at high speed were penalized.

Similarly, 33 who did not follow 'lane' discipline, 193 who honked in prohibited areas, 117 who parked vehicles on the road shoulder, 118 who drove on one-way streets, and one thousand 161 who did not follow other traffic rules were penalized.
