Delhi Police Links Shirtless Protest at AI Summit to Nepal's Gen Z Movement

The Delhi Police has made a significant claim in court regarding the 'shirtless' protest staged by members of the Youth Congress during the 'India AI Impact Summit' held at Bharat Mandapam in India's capital, New Delhi.

While seeking custody, the police informed the court that the style of the protest was inspired by the Gen Z movement in neighboring Nepal, and that the entire sequence of events is under deep investigation.

The Delhi Police presented four accused involved in the protest before the court and requested five days of police custody. According to the police, custody is necessary for an in-depth investigation into the planning of the protest, the individuals involved, and various aspects of the potential conspiracy. The arrested accused are reported to be associated with the Youth Congress.

Commotion During International Event

According to information mentioned in Indian media, during the ongoing international AI Summit at Bharat Mandapam, some youths suddenly removed their shirts and started shouting slogans in protest. The incident caused a commotion for some time as foreign delegates, senior industry officials, and technical experts were present at the event.
