PAC meeting set for Monday after 4-month hiatus
Kathmandu, December 22 — A meeting of the Public Accounts Committee under the House of Representatives has been scheduled for Monday.
According to the committee secretariat, the meeting will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday.
The last meeting of the committee was held on August 25.
During that meeting, there was intense debate concerning Kulman Ghising, the Executive Director of Nepal Electricity Authority.
Lawmakers protested against Committee Chairman Rishikesh Pokhrel's stance, which supported action against Ghising.
Since then, the committee has not convened.
According to one committee member, after facing protests over the prolonged delay in holding a meeting, the committee has called a session for Monday.
"The agenda might include the Auditor General's report. Additionally, MPs are likely to raise other topics as well," said the committee member.
