Jhapa, November 17 — A man was gored to death in an elephant attack early this morning at Deepjyoti tol in Damak Municipality-3. The victim has been identified as 45-year-old Min Bahadur Bhandari.

According to Meghraj Rai, the Chief of the District Forest Office, the incident occurred when an elephant began destroying the house of a neighbor, Subin Bhattarai.

When Bhandari tried to chase the elephant away, he was attacked. He died at the scene.
