African Swine Fever confirmed in pigs in Lalitpur

Kathmandu, November 29 — African Swine Fever has been confirmed in pigs in Lalitpur.

The Lalitpur Metropolitan City issued a statement on Friday, confirming the outbreak in pigs in the Chunikhel and Nakkhu corridors.

According to the statement, the disease was confirmed through a PCR report from the Central Veterinary Laboratory in Tripureshwar on November 10.

The metropolitan authorities have urged pig farmers and breeders to take extra precautions to prevent the further spread of the disease.
