Teachers' protest movement: Gathering in Maitighar, Corner meeting in Baneshwar (With Pics)

KATHMANDU, Sep 20: Teachers from all over the country have gathered in Maitighar for the protest against the School Education Bill that was registered in the Parliament Secretariat by the government. The protest movement has been organized by the Confederation of Nepalese Teachers (CNT).

The confederation has put forward an 18-point demand for amendment in the current bill, in which there are demands such as transfer, promotion, post requirement, not staying under the local municipal level, and others, and the confederation has said that their protests will continue until their demands are met.

According to CNT, the teachers gathered in Maitighar on Wednesday, will march to Baneshwar, where a corner meeting will be held.

Teachers from all the 77 districts have gathered and the traffic in the capital has become chaotic due to the teachers' protest.
