Cabinet meeting decides to accept 120 million dollars' loan from world bank

KATHMANDU, May 23: The cabinet meeting has decided to accept concessional loan assistance worth 120 million dollars from the World Bank for the school-sector-improvement program.

Government Spokesperson Minister Rekha Sharma informed that the Cabinet meeting held at Singha Darbar on Tuesday decided to accept the grant aid worth 19.70 million US dollars received from the Global Partnership Program for Education for the organization of the school education sector.

Similarly, on the proposal of the Ministry of Finance, it has been decided to accept the subsidy amounting to 41 crores rupees to be received for the first batch of the Human Resource Scholarship JDS third phase and give in-principle approval for drafting a new bill related to the Customs Bill. Minister Sharma informed that this has opened the way for a bill to determine the Customs value.

It has been decided to approve the Third Amendment Order 2080 on the formation of the Development Committee of the Institute of Foreign Affairs Studies and to celebrate the National Education Day on Ashoj 2 every year.
