Congress registers victory in Patan

 

Baitadi - Nepali Congress candidates have been elected mayor and deputy mayor in the second phase of the local polls conducted at Patan municipality of Baitadi. 

NC's Keshav Bahadur Chand was elected the mayor with 4,833 votes. His closest contender, Naresh Bishwokarma, from CPN (UML) garnered 3,382 votes. 

In deputy mayor's election, NC's Saraswoti Koli was elected with 3,695 votes. Her closest contender, Dura Bhattarai, from CPN (UML) garnered 3,456 votes.
