Mangalbare, Ilam– The police on Wednesday arrested five cadres of the Netra Bikram Chand-led Communist Party of Nepal from Lungsungdang of Phakphokthum Rural Municipality-1 in Ilam district.
The arrestees were attending a programme held in a local school ground by Chand's party to honour martyrs' families. The police have increased surveillances on the CPN in the wake of the CPN owning up various incidents of explosions across the country.
A case would be filed against the arrestees--Bimal Basnet, party Ilam district committee member, Amrit Magar, Bikram Rai, Baba Limbu and KB Limbu, said Superintendent of Police Madhav Prasad Shrestha.
