Dadeldhura– An eight-year-old girl was killed and her older sister was injured when fire broke out at Godam bazaar, Alitaal rural municipality-8 in Dadeldhura district last night.
Police confirmed the death of Aarati in the incident. Eleven-year-old Niruta has sustained serious injuries in the fire incident that occurred at around 8 pm on Tuesday. The girls are the daughters Uttam Thapa. The fire gutted Thapa's grocery shop at Godam Bazaar, the District Police Office, Dadeldhura, stated.
Seriously injured Niruta has been taken to Kathmandu for advanced treatment, chair of Alitaal rural municipality, Bal Bahadur Gurung, said. The fire spread to two nearby houses, partly damaging them.
