Patient dies in ambulance- van collision

Bharatpur– A patient was killed when an ambulance (Ga 2 Cha 4600) carrying him and a van (Na 1 Ja 7773) collided at Shahidchowk Narayangadh of Bharatpur Metropolitan City-3 today. Two others were injured.

Santa Man Shrestha, 55, of Palungtar Municipality-1 in Gorkha district breathed his last while undergoing treatment at the Bharatpur Hospital, said the police. Shrestha's body has been kept at the hospital for a postmortem. The injured--Udaya Prasad Shrestha, 65, a patient attendant, and van driver Prabin Kumar Shrestha, 19, of Shyamghat-6 in Tanahun district--are receiving treatment at the hospital. Over-speeding of the ambulance is to blame for the accident. ---
