Nepal promotion in Turkey

Kathmandu– Publicity of Nepal's tourism destinations has been made in Turkey.
On the occasion of 23rd edition of Eastern Mediterranean International Tourism and Trekking (EMITT) fair, Nepal informed the Turkish audience about different tourism destinations and productions of the Himalayan land by setting up a stall.
Nepal's participation in the fair held at Turkish capital city of Istanbul from 31 January to 3 February was fruitful from the perspective of networking among tourism entrepreneurs, shared Nepal Tourism Board.

On the occasion, Nepal also received the most cooperative state of EMITT-2019 award. In the recent years, Turkey has been established as a reliable source market for increasing number of Asian countries owing to its growing outbound and robust air networks. Nepal is also one among the other Asian countries.

NTB has been continuously taking part in the EMITT for promoting tourism in Nepal for the past few years.
Deepak Raj Joshi, Chief Executive Officer, NTB said efforts are on to explore new source market for tourism expansion with strategic actions in view of 2020 Nepal Tourism Year.

On the occasion, Nepal's exhibition stall had received more than 500 trade visitors and over 10,000 general visitors.
The direct flight between Istanbul and Kathmandu has contributed to the rise in the outbound of tourist to Turkey. ---
