DDC to Modernize Milk Collection from FY 2083/84

Kathmandu. The Dairy Development Corporation (DDC) has put forward a new policy to make milk collection more systematic and technology-friendly from the upcoming fiscal year 2083/2084. The corporation has requested dairy producer cooperatives and private farms interested in regularly trading milk with them to contact by the end of Shrawan 2083. According to a notice issued by the corporation's central office in Lainchaur, cooperatives and private farms wishing to continuously trade milk with the corporation must contact their nearest DDC project, chilling center at the specified contact address by the end of Shrawan 2083. The corporation has also clarified that it will not be obliged to purchase or trade milk from cooperatives or farms that do not contact within the stipulated time limit in the coming days. For the past 57 years, DDC has been collecting milk from cooperatives, private farms, and dairy producer farmers.
