Portugal and Colombia Draw First Half in FIFA World Cup 2026 Qualifier

Kathmandu. The first half between Portugal and Colombia in an important match of Group 'K' under FIFA World Cup 2026 has ended in a goalless draw.

In the match held at Miami Stadium, both teams made attractive attacks but failed to score. From the beginning of the game, both teams put pressure on each other.

After Portugal's Cristiano Ronaldo's shot was blocked by a defender, Colombia launched a swift counter-attack. During that, goalkeeper Diogo Costa saved his team from crisis by making an excellent save of a powerful shot by James Rodriguez.

Similarly, Portugal lost the opportunity to take the lead when Joao Felix's shot from inside the penalty area went over the crossbar. Towards the end of the first half, both teams created more chances but no goal was scored.

In another match of Group 'K', Uzbekistan is leading DR Congo 1-0 at halftime. If the current result holds, Uzbekistan will reach the top of the group, while Portugal will have to win in the second half to become the group winner.
