Man Rescued After Jumping into Narayani River; Another Saved from Bhote Koshi

Kathmandu. A man who jumped into the Narayani River in Gaindakot Municipality-2, Nawalparasi, has been rescued safely. Jhanakprasad Poudel, 62, residing in Dharapani, Devchuli Municipality-11, was rescued safely by a team of armed police. He had jumped into the river on Thursday morning. A team deployed from Armed Police Force No. 31 Battalion Nawalparasi rescued him, DSP Shailendra Thapa, spokesperson for the Armed Police Force, told Ratopati. After the rescue, he was sent to Chitwan for treatment. His condition is normal.  

Similarly, the armed police have also rescued a person who was stuck in the river in Larcha, Bhote Koshi Rural Municipality-2, Sindhupalchok. Sanjeev Bik, 23, residing in Listi, ward number-1 of the same rural municipality, was rescued on Thursday, informed DSP Thapa. He has been brought to Dhulikhel Hospital for treatment.
