Baglung Tractor Accident Claims One Life

Baglung. One person has died in a tractor accident in Baglung. The tractor, with registration number G1 T 6980, was coming to Burtibang market from Bobang via an alternative route of the Saljhandi-Dhorpatan road when it met with an accident last night in Pyangkhola of Dhorpatan Municipality-5 in the district.

The accident resulted in the death of the tractor driver, 18-year-old Ashish Gharti from Chami-duwar of Dhorpatan Municipality-6, informed Tilak Manandhar, Chief of the Area Police Office, Burtibang. He stated that the tractor fell about 50 meters below the road.

The driver's body was found 70 meters below the accident site, said Police Inspector Manandhar. Rescue was somewhat difficult due to the accident occurring in the middle of the night. He mentioned that the body has now been retrieved from the cliff.

He said, "The accident happened around 1 AM at night, we received news of the accident shortly after, and while searching after reaching the accident site, one body was found. We searched to see if there were others in the tractor, but it turned out there was only the driver." Manandhar added that further investigation into the accident is underway.
