Rastriya Prajatantra Party MP Tahir Ali Bhat Draws Government's Attention to DAP Fertilizer Shortage

Kathmandu. Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) MP Tahir Ali Bhat has drawn the government's attention to farmers not receiving DAP fertilizer during the main farming season.

"MPs are receiving calls from various places. They are saying fertilizer is insufficient. We have repeatedly informed the Agriculture Committee and the Minister of Agriculture, but they have not listened. Now the government must send fertilizer to every district," Bhat said while speaking at the House of Representatives meeting on Friday.

He also demanded that the budget be revised, stating that nothing has been done for poor farmers in the budget and that the budget has been allocated for large farmers and agricultural mafias.

"If large farmers invest 20 million rupees, agricultural mafias will receive 8 million rupees, but small farmers will receive nothing? Therefore, this should be broken down and distributed to small farmers," Bhat said.
