Former Finance Minister Pun Demands Parliamentary Probe Committee Over Budget Leakage Allegations

Kathmandu. Former Finance Minister and CPN (Maoist Centre) MP Barshaman Pun has demanded a parliamentary probe committee, alleging budget leakage from the Ministry of Finance in the upcoming fiscal year 2083/084. Stating that changing matters already tabled in the House is not normal, he said that a thorough study and investigation should be conducted.

He challenged Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle to open old files, stating that he had spoken of opening old files. He challenged him to open files from his tenure as finance minister.

'Just because the old ones made mistakes, does that mean the new ones can also make mistakes? The Finance Minister spoke of opening files. Let's open them, starting from my tenure,' he said. Pun also demanded the immediate formation of a parliamentary probe committee.
