Government Invites Applications for Public Procurement Review Committee Positions

Kathmandu. The Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, Government of Nepal has called for applications for the vacant posts of Chairperson and Member in the Public Procurement Review Committee.

Applications have been sought from eligible Nepali citizens for the appointment of one Chairperson and two Members vacant in the committee. The office has stated that these posts are being filled in accordance with Section 48 of the Public Procurement Act, 2063, for carrying out the functions as per Section 49 of the same Act.

Interested candidates must submit their applications to the Public Procurement Monitoring Office located at Kesharmahal, Kathmandu within 7 days from the date of publication of the notice.

To be a candidate, one must have the qualifications and experience as per the Public Procurement Act. Additionally, the notice states that the individual must not hold citizenship or a permanent/temporary residence permit of any foreign country and must not be disqualified by any prevailing law.

From the applications received, the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers will prepare a shortlist and submit it to the Council of Ministers of the Government of Nepal. Based on this shortlist, the Council of Ministers will appoint the suitable candidates.
