Rabi Lamichhane-led Rashtriya Swatantra Party Delegation Meets BJP President J.P. Nadda in New Delhi

Kathmandu. A delegation led by Rabi Lamichhane, chairman of Nepal's Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), held a meeting with Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National President J.P. Nadda in New Delhi. This meeting took place at the BJP's central office in New Delhi as part of the BJP's 'Know BJP' campaign.

During the meeting, welcoming the RSP delegation, BJP National President J.P. Nadda highlighted the close and historical relationship between India and Nepal based on shared civilizational heritage, cultural bonds, and strong people-to-people relations. He expressed the view that such interactions would help strengthen democratic dialogue and deepen the party-to-party engagement between the BJP and the RSP. 

He also shared information about the BJP's political journey, ideology, organizational structure, and its people-centric approach to political engagement. Clarifying the party's organizational model from the national to the booth level, he stated that the role of BJP workers is crucial in maintaining direct and continuous contact with the grassroots public.

During the interaction, the RSP delegation inquired about the BJP's membership distribution process, candidate selection system, and the party's mechanism for identifying and connecting with grassroots workers. Responding to these queries, President Nadda clarified that the BJP's organizational strength is built through continuous public contact, booth-level engagement, and the participation of ordinary citizens in the democratic process. 

He stated that a development-oriented governance model is in place under the leadership of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and the flow of development, service, good governance, and welfare activities is at the center of the BJP's public outreach and governance system. Furthermore, both leaders also discussed the growing role and potential of the GenZ generation in politics, where they talked about the contribution of the youth generation to democratic participation, public discourse, and the building of future leadership.

Leaders such as BJP National General Secretary Arun Singh, MP Sanjay Jaiswal, MP Bansuri Swaraj, and BJP Foreign Affairs Department Head Dr. Vijay Chauthaiwale were present at the meeting. 

After the meeting, the RSP team also observed the Media Sharing Center and the Central Library at the BJP headquarters. Following the meeting, an interaction program including a lunch was organized, in which leaders including Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, Manoj Tiwari, Praveen Khandelwal, Bansuri Swaraj, Harsh Malhotra, and Ramvir Singh Bidhuri participated, as informed by BJP Foreign Affairs Department Head Dr. Chauthaiwale.
