Minister Yadav: Government Prioritizes Domestic Employment Creation

Kathmandu. Youth, Labour and Employment Minister Ramji Yadav said that creating sufficient employment opportunities within the country and providing opportunities to the youth within the country is the government's first priority. 

Responding to questions raised by members of parliament in the meeting of the House of Representatives, Minister Yadav said so. He clarified that the ministry is fully committed to not only making foreign employment safe and dignified but also to finding employment alternatives within the country. 

He informed that the government is continuously discussing with the concerned bodies about conducting various employment-oriented training to produce skilled manpower.

He announced that more than 40,000 complaints of fraud in the field of foreign employment will be settled within a time limit and services will be operated online from the upcoming Shrawan. 

Minister Yadav said that the government is very vigilant and sensitive towards the safety of Nepali workers in foreign employment. 

He said, 'The government is seriously taking initiatives for rescue and relief for workers who are injured, undergoing treatment in hospitals, and waiting for rescue while working abroad. It is sensitive to that matter.'

In the context of the recent increase in fraud in the name of foreign employment, the ministry has adopted a policy of strictly controlling it, Minister Yadav said.

He said that the government is performing its work by prioritizing immediate and long-term tasks. He said, 'We will classify more than 40,000 complaints related to fraud in foreign employment and work by setting a specific time limit.'

Minister Yadav informed the house that the ministry is rapidly preparing to conduct all work online from the upcoming Shrawan to make it easier for service recipients, end delays, and ensure transparency.
