Four Crew Members Stable After Two Fighter Jets Collide Mid-Air at US Air Show

Washington DC.  Officials have stated that the condition of four crew members is stable after two fighter jets collided mid-air during an air show organized in America.  

A spokesperson for the US Navy has informed that all members of the crew were safely able to exit after two US Navy 'EA-18G' jets, which were performing aerial maneuvers, crashed. It has not yet been clarified whether they were injured or not.

This dramatic incident occurred on Sunday on the second and final day of the 'Gunfighter Skies Air Show' held 3.2 kilometers northwest of Mountain Home Air Force Base in Idaho. After the accident, a fire broke out there, and the remaining performances were canceled, and the military base was completely closed for some time. An investigation into this incident is currently underway.

A statement released by Mountain Air Force Base Gunfighter on social media on Sunday stated, 'The condition of the crew members involved in the accident is stable.' The statement further added, 'We thank all our guests for their patience and sympathy, which helped us to carry out the rescue operation quickly and safely in this incident.'  

According to Commander Amelia Umayam, the health of the crew members is being examined by medical personnel.  Umayam informed that the crashed 'EA-18G Growlers' jets belonged to an electronic attack squadron from Washington state.

According to the US Navy, each of these jets costs approximately $67 million. Kim Sykes of Silver Wings of Idaho, who helped organize the air show, stated that no one was injured at the military base.  

Previously, during the Gunfighter Skies Air Show held in 2018, a glider pilot had also died in an accident.
