CPN-UML Vice Chairman Thapa Claims Foreign Powers Aim to Destroy Party Leadership

Kathmandu. CPN (UML) Vice Chairman and Parliamentary Party Leader Ram Bahadur Thapa Badal has claimed that domestic and foreign powers have launched a campaign to destroy the party leadership and Chairman KP Sharma Oli. He also said that the responsibility to protect the leadership and move forward has fallen on the shoulders of the entire party ranks. 

Speaking at a program organized at Madan Nagar, Balkhu, Kathmandu on the occasion of Madan Ashrit Memorial Day on Sunday, he also claimed that the Gen Z movement, elections, government, government decisions, and the conspiracies against party chairman Oli, when viewed, all these events are a continuation of the Dasdhunga assassination itself.

He said, 'Look at the ordinance brought by the government now, look at the decisions made by the Council of Ministers. Look at the arrest of our chairman. Look at the nature of the cases filed against him. What are all these events? All these events are a continuation of the Dasdhunga incident. We have to understand it as a series of that. Therefore, serious responsibilities have now arisen behind CPN-UML.'

He further said, 'All these events from Dasdhunga to the events here indicate that for the protection of CPN-UML, domestic and foreign powers have launched a campaign to destroy and eliminate CPN-UML. A serious historical responsibility to protect CPN-UML and its leadership has come upon our shoulders.'

Vice Chairman Thapa also said that it is time to be aware and work against the continuous attacks on UML and its leadership.
