Aranbha Sanskar School Honors Table Tennis Medalist Nishchal Thapa Chhetri

Kathmandu. Aranbha Sanskar School located in Golkupakha, Kathmandu honored Nishchal Thapa Chhetri, a medalist in the South Asian Youth Table Tennis Championship, on Friday. Nishchal won a silver medal in the U-15 Boys Doubles and a bronze medal in the team event at the competition held in Simla, India from April 8 to 11. School Principal Naresh Prasad Shrestha and Vice Principal Dinesh Shrestha honored Nishchal with a letter of appreciation and a token of love. On the same occasion, Prajna Maharjan, who is going to participate in the International Christian Table Tennis competition to be held in Incheon, South Korea, was bid farewell. Nishchal is studying in class 9 and Prajna in class 7 at the same school. The school has provided full scholarships to both these talented players. 6 players from Nepal, including Prajna, will compete in the competition to be held on May 27. The team includes Himal Bisht, Yonggi Poudel, Suramya Shakya, Rijan Shakya, and Rivanmuni Vajracharya. Before the competition, the players will participate in a special training camp in Incheon from May 16 to 26. The Nepali team will depart for there on Saturday. Addressing the honoring program, Principal Shrestha said that Nishchal's success has enhanced the prestige of the school and the entire nation. He mentioned that scholarships are being provided to encourage talented players and wished Prajna success as well. Vice Principal Dinesh Shrestha said that the school is focusing on sports and the all-round development of students along with education.
