Protest Held Against Bulldozer Terror and Institutional Murder of Squatters

Kathmandu. Akhil Nepal Sukumbasi Sangh and Sanyukta Rashtriya Sukumbasi Morcha have organized a warning program at Maitighar Mandala in the capital against the bulldozer terror and institutional murder happening in various places of the country. 

They have protested saying that bulldozers were run over squatter settlements without alternatives and the state has suppressed squatters. 

Participants in the protest have accused the government and local administration of trying to displace them by using force instead of addressing the issues of squatters. They have termed such actions as institutional murder and demanded an immediate end to bulldozer terror and the security of their lives and property. 

During the warning program, squatter rights activists demanded that the government protect the constitutional rights of the landless and squatters and guarantee them permanent settlement. Protesters gathered at Maitighar expressed anger over the government's working style by holding placards with various slogans and pressured for justice.
