'Elephants in the Fog' Trailer Released, Selected for Cannes Film Festival's Un Certain Regard

Kathmandu. The film 'Elephants in the Fog', selected for the prestigious Un Certain Regard section of the world-famous Cannes Film Festival, has released its trailer. It features a mother's attempt to find her child and the obstacles she faces.

The film, written and directed by Avinash Bikram Shah, is based on the story of wild elephant terror, a lost child, and victims seeking help from the police. The production unit stated that 'Elephants in the Fog' presents the story of a family representing a minority community living in a settlement affected by the terror of wild elephants.

The film stars actors including Pushpa Thing, Deepika Yadav, Jasmine Bishwokarma, Aliz Ghimire, Joel Gurung, and Umesh Pandey. Gauri Malla, Maotse Gurung, Shanti Giri, Sanjay Gupta Dura, Mahima Navbag, Ashant Sharma, Anil Kurmi, and Akanksha Karki also feature in the acting.

The film is produced by Kumudini Gurung Shrestha, Soham Dhakal, and Prachandaman Shrestha from Jayanti Creation, while Anup Poudel is a producer from Underground Talkies Nepal. Justin Pechberty and Damien Megherby from France, Michael Henrichs and Paul Zischler from Germany, Tatiana Leite and Leonardo Meckey from Brazil, and Verona Meier Storm from Norway are international producers.
