Speaker to Discuss Prime Minister's Parliament Attendance

Kathmandu. After the opposition sought the Prime Minister in the House, Speaker DP Aryal will hold discussions with Prime Minister Balendra Shah.

As the House of Representatives meeting could not be resumed for the third time on Wednesday, Speaker Aryal will request Prime Minister Shah to be present for the discussion on the policy and program. However, Aryal has already clarified that she has no authority to set a date for Prime Minister Balendra Shah's presence in the parliamentary meeting. She stated this after opposition party lawmakers demanded a ruling on Wednesday's meeting to make the Prime Minister's mandatory presence in the discussion on the government's policy and program. "We are in the forum for lawmaking. We are conducting the assembly based on that law. We want to conduct the session based on that," said Speaker Aryal. In that context, she said she would discuss with the Prime Minister and inform about tomorrow's meeting. Even after the obstruction of the meeting, the Speaker informed the same thing in consultations with the parties.
