Israel Attacks Lebanon, Killing at Least 22

Beirut. At least 22 people have died in attacks carried out by Israel in various areas of Lebanon on Saturday. The state news agency National News Agency (NNA) provided this information, citing the Lebanese Ministry of Health. Four of the deceased were children.

According to the Ministry of Health, a 12-year-old girl and her father died in an attack in the southern Nabatieh region while traveling on a motorcycle.

In a statement released on Sunday, the Israeli army mentioned that 10 Hezbollah members were killed in southern Lebanon over the weekend, and 40 of the group's infrastructure sites were attacked. Meanwhile, Hezbollah claimed responsibility for 22 attacks against the Israeli army in southern Lebanon on Saturday.

US President Donald Trump had announced a ceasefire in Lebanon on April 16. However, Israeli violence continues there. Both Israel and Hezbollah have accused each other of violating the extended ceasefire.
